And maybe now - she's gone. Let's hope so.
Today, the woman who will seemingly do anything to win the Democratic nomination for President of the United States of America actually had the balls to invoke the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy in 1968 as he was wrapping up his nomination, as the reason she continues to stay in the race.
As a 15 year old high school student, I worked in the RFK campaign. I was a volunteer in our local West Los Angeles campaign office - about 8 miles from the spot Kennedy was shot. It was one of the worst moments of my life and I'm sure of many Americans. The Democrats went on to nominate Hubert Humphrey and Richard Nixon went on to win the White House. The rest, as we say, is our history.
Once again, Olbermann says it all. The end is incredibly strong so watch it all the way through.

Man, was he pissed off.
And every American should be just as much so. Hillary Clinton is the lowest of the low. No other U.S. politician, as far as I know, has ever reveled publicly in the possibility of an opponent being murdered.
I'm wondering if this will be the final straw and that Pelosi, Biden, Dean and a handful of other powerful DNC Superdelegates will come out on Monday (en masse) and say "Enough".

I missed this comment of hers. Did she bring up her fond memories of shooting with daddy, or happen to brandish a gun during this speech as well?
Man, when you go through all the gaffes she and her people have made, it's pretty amazing.
Yeah, and Olbermann did a really good job of reminding us of all of her bullshit. Damn, there's been a lot. But this one tops them all.
It probably isn't as offensive to younger people who have not lived through assassinations of our greatest leaders, but it truly was a national trauma in the 60s and a lot of the craziness you see today in terms of "conspiracy" has it's basis there.
Some of us just survived it a little better than others, but few came out unscathed. And even younger people are effected, having been brought up by the bruised and battered.
If nothing else, if created a generation of cynics. I'm not sayin' anything, I'm just sayin'....

But get a grip. "Reveled"? All she was saying was that primaries have run into June before with no clear winner.
Foot in mouth? Absolutely. Hoping Obama gets shot? Puh-lease.

No, that's not true. Because here's how she could have said that: The primaries have run into June before with no clear winner.
She specifically referenced Bobby Kennedy's assassination. More than once. And she alluded to it in other statements. You may not believe that she's the monster that she clearly is, but do you believe she's that dumb, that this was a mere "gaffe"?
So you have two options:
1) Hillary makes a lot of mistakes
2) Hillary is evil
Take your pick. Either way, sucky candidate.
I don't think Hillary hopes Obama gets shot. But I don't think she'd have a very suitable depth of morning and despair like much the rest of the nation would.
By the way, who said that she DID hope so? Olbermann? I certainly don't recall that.

For the record, what I said in an email to OG:
You, OG, don't want to accept the obvious because it's so horrifying to think that a major American politician would stoop so low. The thought of her sending out feelers to potential assassins probably gives you the cold sweats. But give me another interpretation that makes sense.
So I'll take responsibility for appearing to say that she hoped Obama would be assassinated. I don't actually think she said exactly that, although I think she may hope that. In any case, her comments certainly help to spread the notion of shooting the guy. However you interpret her words, she's clearly counting on each Democrat to think, in his or her secret heart-of-hearts: "Yes, it is very possible that Obama will be assassinated. Maybe he's not a safe candidate."
And perhaps one of her "white hard-working Americans" will take the bait and try it.
She's disgusting.

I think she's just saying anything to make people stop asking her "so are you gonna stop running now, or what?"
Hillary obviously could have discussed long primary seasons, and referenced her husband's June nomination, without mentioning RFK at all. The fact that she made such references, on several occasions, raises, again, some serious questions about whether she is ready to occupy the Oval Office.
I will avoid engaging in that most American of past-times, the articulation of conspiracy theories, and say that I think what Hillary was trying to accomplish with these references is to get voters to see her as the heir to a succession of popular Democratic Party leaders. The way she has chosen to do this is extremely clumsy and obviously in poor taste, and it has opened the door to question, once again, her judgment.
