Lipstick on a pig

Obama wasn’t saying that Sarah Palin is a pig. That’s ridiculous. She is the lipstick in this metaphor, folks. McCain, Bush, the Republicans and the world that has been modeled by all of them is “The Pig”.

He won’t say it that way. Unfortunately. But I will.

And I’ll say to the 30 million or so out there who were for Obama 10 days ago and are for McCain today (how else can you describe it?), you are the Pig Shit.

You folks really jazzed about this flake Sarah Palin, are ya? Wow. What a fucked up country we live in. There ain’t no hope. No hope.

Have you forgotten the audacity of hope?

Palin's another tyrant into loyalty tests. What's that remind you of? Anyway, I agree that speaking calmly and intelligently won't work for most of America. They need more pig jokes, and seriously dumbing down the major points of Obama's platform. Don't quote percentages, say, "I'll give you back $X more on your taxes", restart that talk about wanting to actually go where bin Laden is and get him, and so on. Quick, simple, easily repeatable lines simple Americans can process and remember. Sad, but true. He said to the crowd, "the Republicans think you're stupid". No senator, they are stupid, the Republicans know that, and you better wake up and realize it and start game planning for that.

This is sad. Palin is a complete douche, everyone knows it, and half those people decide to support her anyways. Let's see if Obama can play into the "pussy liberal" stereotype and throw this election away.

How come a movie star can say it better than even one fucking Democrat - Obama, Biden, Clinton, Gore, Dean, etc - canSAY IT? Honestly. What is so fucking difficult about this? I've said it since day one. Sarah Palin is a JOKE. Americans are a joke.

That's a hell of a clip

Well, I guess I'm not as politically astute as Matt Damon is, because I don't think Sarah Palin is a joke. Some of the scariest leaders of all time were dismissed as "jokes" before they attained power. If the Democrats act as if she is a joke, the joke will be on them. Unfortunately, it'll also be on all of us.

On the other hand, if that "lipstick on a pig" line was not intended as a subliminal message about Sarah Palin, then Obama's handlers are even dumber than I think they are. Are we supposed to believe that it was just an expression he happened to pull out of the blue? They must think we're stupid.

Sarah Palin seems to have scandal after scandal rolling along in her wake and nobody is batting an eyelash, but I bet if something superficial was revealed like that she wasn't really a hockey mom the people would go ballistic and she'd be turfed out.

John Evo said...

Brian, that would be a very funny observation. Except it's dead-on.

Ex, I don't know what Obama was doing and neither do you. All I know is the American people are, in fact, stupid.

Another day of distractions, in the middle of planetary meltdown. Only in America, they say. I doubt that. But goddamn it, we should be the one place where it doesn't happen, and we're not. Not even close. Fucking pathetic.

Evo:

Why should we be the one place where it doesn't happen. Are Americans smarter, or more informed, or more concerned than other people?

Our populace is stupid, as you, yourself, said. Don't forget: We elected a liar, crook, and idiot twice! So maybe we're exactly the kind of place where that kind of shit happens.

John Evo said...

Yup. You are right. What more is there to say?

PhillyChief said...

You know where this shit doesn't seem to happen? Where the population is better educated, and ignorance isn't considered a virtue.

You know, Obama almost did say it that way. You should give him more credit:

If anyone wants to move to Britain when McPalin finally waltzes into power on a wave of screaming idiocy, you're welcome to kip on my couch. If there's more than 4 million of you, though, someone might have to sleep on the floor. Oh, and you'll need to bring your own blanket.

Yeah, I really didn't get how they (whoever it was) managed to think that Palin was the pig in the metaphor. I wonder how these people did in their high school English courses. Unfortunately, that's the least of their party's problems, by quite a lot.

PhillyChief said...

You're assuming, Maria, the Republicans actually believe what they say. The pig thing, like the charges of the media being sexist and liberal, are just bullshit to incite the masses.

I have hopes in your country !

The problem with this is that it's a common reference used all the time in Washington. Heck, McCain used the "lipstick on a pig" line himself not more than a month ago. Unfortunately, you've got the Palin Truth Squad out there squalking about any perceived slights to the fucking bitch, who frankly, I'd be more than happy to call a pig, just like I'd call McCain a stinky fish. There's nothing wrong with the truth.

Can Sarah be both the lipstick and the pig? That seems more correct, somehow.

A little flustered arent we?

Mike,

If the republicans and Sarah Palin can get that confused about what Obama meant with his comment. Imagine that confusion on a world stage in diplomatic negotiations.
