McCain is losing it

And at least it isn't going unnoticed.

And now the latest... He wants to "suspend" the Biden/Palin debate too!  Oh, I'll bet he does.  Can't blame him really.

It really doesn't say much about the Obama campaign that they aren't up by 20 points in the polls.  I guess it doesn't say much about our fellow citizens either.

Sorry, this has nothing to do with this post.

Your other post (about the three videos)...I am talking about your videos in my blog and I have linked you.

He'd pretty much have to stick his finger up his nose during a public appearance and then flick the booger into the crowd to look any stupider than McCain already does.

However, Americans have an affinity for Stupid. That's why the McCain/Palin ticket isn't polling at 0%.

The real reason McCain is trying this is because it's clear that the economy question is going to be important in the upcoming debate and McCain has no answers. Bush's economic strategies have caused the problem and McCain is extremely weak on the economy, therefore he can't risk being cornered on national TV looking like an idiot.

Or a bigger idiot than he usually appears on national TV, I mean.

@ Cephus

Exterminator made a great point on this, somewhere else -

Is it possible that the REAL reason for this is connected to the second part of my post? They haven't allowed ANY real access to Palin. Now they want to cancel HER debate too! And yet she has nothing to do with working on the bailout.

This is a great clip.

Palin's invisibility is a sign that the Republican movers and shakers don't know what the hell to do with her. She is so not ready for national politics that they can't let her out for any other reason than to get fresh air.

It's looking more and more like McCain pulled a fast one on his handlers: they didn't have a clue that he was going to select her. He caught them flat-footed and they're stuck doing damage control for the duration of the campaign. McCain was already a weak candidate. His selection of Palin undermines his credibility even more.

If they can get away with it, they'll probably try not to make any public appearances between now and November 4. And they'll still get at least 30% of the vote from the knee-jerk morons who would automatically vote Republican even if the candidate were dead.

Chappy, I heard tell that it was somewhat the other way round . . . that McCain was set to pick Liebermann and at the last minute was forced by the lunar right of his party to go with Palin. Is this right?

One of the possibilities, and certainly it's becoming clear that it's on their mind, is that McCain wanted to "reschedule" the debate to take place instead of the Biden/Palin debate. They've been keeping Palin away from reporters and any of her family or friends that get interviewed always has a party representative nearby to keep them from saying anything stupid.

AV - I've read that a couple of times over the past week. It's an interesting possibility, as it certainly appeared, until the last minute, that McCain was set to pick Lieberman. Either way, the point that matters most is that Palin was chosen to score political points and hopefully gain particular voters, either PUMAs or fundies. She wasn't chosen because she's a good candidate. Either McCain or the Republicans have behaved extraordinarily irresponsibly in this matter. It's imperative that the Republicans lose BIG in this election so that they will be compelled to clean house.

I suggest they use dynamite.
